Prises’ pull of the Sixth competition increases by 5000$.
James Higdon initiated the "Dane and Polly Bales Prize" to add to the competition prize money. The first prize winner gets 10 000$ and a solo recital in the Bales Organ Recital Hall at the University of Kansas and travel expenses associated with that recital.
