15.02.2005 Organ hit-parade
On February 15, 2005 ORGAN HIT-PARADE was to be held at Moscow International Music House. Program presents the winners of Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition playing popular music both written specially for organ and transposed for this king of instruments. Six winners of past Competitions, six individualities represent a kind of organ brotherhood based on the name and artistic principles of Mikael Tariverdiev after whom is named the Competition conducted biennially at Kaliningrad. The concert opens a series of cultural events dedicated to the 750 anniversary of Kaliningrad (Keonigsberg) to be marked in 2005.
Program includes chorales, Toccata and Fugue D-minor by Bach, Organ concert Cassandra by M.Tariverdiev, The Sea from Sheherezada suite by Rimsky-Korsakov, 10 Pieces from Children's Album of P.I.Tchaikovsky.
